Almost 70 years ago, Abraham Kaplan came up with the idea of taking a restaurant delicacy, shrimp cocktail, and making it available to the masses. After much trial and error, Abe came up with the first fully prepared, individual, ready-to-eat shrimp cocktail, packaged in a glass jar. Abe launched his company, Sau-Sea Foods, in Yonkers, New York, betting on the success of that one product. Our company has since brought several new products to market, including organic/non-GMO and all-natural versions of our classic cocktail and tartar sauces. Our wasabi, horseradish, Sriracha and tartar sauces are low sodium. We also make great fry/shrimp and mustard sauces, and pure, fresh-ground horseradish, in addition to selling frozen shrimp. All of our condiments are gluten-free and kosher.
